Internal Thermal Coatings

UK Government backed TIWI systems set to become the way forward

Your Health
Is important

When it comes to building problems within the house, damp and mould are right up there as two of the worse issues. The problem is they’re not just structural problems, they’re problem that can have a hugely negative impact of the health and wellbeing of the people that live inside that property.

All of this can lead directly to the sort of respiratory problems that no one wants to encounter, let alone young children. Fortunately, EarthCork can help with this, making sure that the problem not only goes away but that it doesn’t come again afterwards.

The first thing that anyone should do with any water penetration in a property is to find and fix the source of that problem. Once that’s overcome then you can start to look at making good on the internal walls and ceilings that have been affected.

Can help

EarthCork is a perfect product to solve this problem. Our experienced team use a thin layer of spray-applied natural cork across the affected areas which can then be skimmed in plaster and decorated. The finished look and feel is no different than it would have been with traditional plaster, but you yourself are left with the knowledge that behind that surface you have a natural breathable area where damp and mould issues are removed.

8mm Thick

You don’t even need to replace or refix sockets and switches because the additional layer delivers a mere 8mm of extra thickness. You simply would never know that there’s an extra layer of cork behind the finished wall and because it’s cork you can guarantee that damp and mould simply cannot form.

But not only does EarthCork deliver on the protection against damp and mould, it also delivers and additional level of thermal insulation which in itself can give you an impressive 30% reduction in your energy bills, proving to be eight times better than traditional lime and sand based renders.

Remind me
Of the benefits...

EarthCork walls are fire resistant with a Euro-class B Safety Rating and they’re water resistant as well because it’s a cork-based product.

While we’re at it, it’s also important to recognize the eco-benefits when using a natural, sustainable product. Cork grows in abundance in certain climates and doesn’t involved the destruction of the tree, it only ever involves the removal of the bark which in itself encourages additional growth. On top of that the energy saving that EarthCork products deliver mean that it is undoubtedly good for you and good for the planet at the very same time.

Houses should never be hazardous to the health of the people that live there and EarthCork applications do their bit to make sure that houses are turned in to homes.
